Celeb watch: Tom Cruise’s new girl a fellow Scientologist

Is Tom Cruise dating again? Word is that the actor went out on a date with Orange is the New Black star Laura Prepon.

I don’t know why anyone would ever go on a date with weirdo Tom Cruise, but I digress. According to Grazia, Cruise and Prepon went on a date and he is now smitten.

The pair reportedly dined twice at a restaurant in the Manor Hotel, a Scientology spot.

A source said: “Tom has known Laura for a few years now and they are all in the same social group that includes John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston.

“He’s always been fascinated by her and, since seeing her in Orange Is The New Black, that has turned into an attraction. So he bit the bullet and asked her out on a formal date.”

This is interesting because Cruise is a Scientologist and so is Prepon. He has remained relatively low key after Katie Holmes blindsided him with a divorce last summer. She took their daughter Suri and ran for the hills!

Of course, Cruise has now been divorced three times and maybe it’s about time he finds wife number four. But could it be Prepon? n

Marc Anthony’s ex-wife Dayanara Torres is trying to get her child support payment increased from $13,000 a month to $113,000 a month.

Now before you call her a gold digger, let’s look at her side of the story. Marc Anthony left her for Jennifer Lopez back in 2003. They had been married for three years and had two young boys.

Anthony got a quickie divorce in the Dominican Republic in 2004 and married J-Lo immediately. TMZ is reporting that Torres is barely making ends meet while Anthony “lives like a king”.

Torres claims Anthony makes $1 million per month so what she’s asking for is a drop in the bucket for him. 

On top of that, she also claims he pays ex-wife J-Lo child support as well, a lot more money than he pays to her.

Now in my world, $156,000 is a lot to live on in a year, especially since it’s essentially free money. In Los Angeles, however, it’s chum change.

If the kids are in private school, there goes the majority of that money. One of them has special needs so surely there are extra costs involved.

Torres’ kids deserve to live the same lifestyle that Anthony is providing for J-Lo’s kids.
