A Sandys man was today fined $800 after he admitted cocaine possession.
Troy Bremar, 44, was with a group of men on Cambridge Road in Sandys near the Charing Cross Bar on July 19 when police officers on mobile patrol approached the area.
The group of men, including Bremar, looked at the police cars and started to walk away.
And officers approached Bremar and told him he was going to be searched. At this time, the officer observed Bremar began sweating profusely.
During the search, the officer found a brown paper twist in the defendant’s pants pocket containing a white rocklike substance.
Bremar was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs.
The court heard he has previous similar convictions.
Addressing the court, Bremar said: “I would like to apologise to the court”.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner gave him a $800 fine.
