A man has denied the murder of Steven Jireh Iris.
Tyrone Pedro is accused of stabbing Mr Iris to death outside his home on Glebe Road, Devonshire, on August 23.
Pedro pleaded not guilty to murder at this month’s Arraignments session.
Puisne Judge Carlisle Greaves remanded him in custody until next month’s Arraignments, on December 2.
Attempted murder
Another appeared in court charged with attempted murder, with the use of a firearm.
Blaine Simmons denied both offences, said to have been committed against Lo’torean Durrant on March 19.
Justice Greaves remanded him in custody until his trail on January 20.
Threat to kill
Also appearing at Supreme Court, a man denied threatening to murder a woman.
Geontai Minors pleaded not guilty to making threats to murder Andrea Warren on November 21, 2012.
Justice Greaves extended bail and his trial date was set for February 3.
Firearms charges
A defendant also denied four firearms charges.
Terry Thomas pleaded not guilty to handling a 38 special Taurus revolver, having been previously convicted of violence with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), and to handling the firearm.
He also denied handling three 0.390 calibre rounds and six 38 calibre rounds of ammunition, having been convicted of violence with intent to cause GBH, plus handling the ammunition.
The alleged offences are said to have taken place between July 7, 2010 and April 24, 2013.
Thomas was remanded in custody, with a trial date set for March 24.
Couple face drugs charges
A man and a woman also appeared in court charged with drug offences.
Takai Michai Tota and Seanee Stacey Smith both denied conspiracy to import diamorphine (heroin) on February 13.
Tota pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply, but Smith denied the charge.
Tota denied a third charge of money laundering — of possession of $6,690 in the knowledge the money was acquired through the proceeds of a criminal act.
Smith’s bail was extended but Tota was remanded in custody until the case is mentioned at Supreme Court on November 7.
Driving charge
In another case, McNeil Wilson denied two motoring offences, of causing bodily harm while driving recklessly and in a manner dangerous to the public.
Wilson is accused of injuring Harold Talbot in a road traffic accident in Somerset Road, Sandys, on July 7, 2012.
Postal worker in court
A postal worker also appeared in court, charged with misconduct.
Dennis Thomas denied handling an EMS (Express Mail Service) package without authority to do so, on July 27, 2012.
A trial date was set for December 2 and bail was extended.
