Elbow Beach is now offering unique spa experiences that come all the way from Bangkok.

Two therapists, Jen Chiangman and Serm Sutakarn have arrived in Bermuda from the award-winning Oriental Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok for the summer.

According to a press statement, The Oriental Spa is currently celebrating its 20th year and was the first to open within a hotel property in Bangkok. It is regularly acclaimed as one of the best in the world.

The therapists will offer three special signature treatments from June 1 to August 31.

Nyland Adams, spa director, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer these distinctive spa treatments.

“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for residents and visitors to be able to experience a treatment with therapists from a spa of this calibre.”

The treatments on offer are:

The Oriental Signature Treatment – This unique ‘Oriental’ Journey includes a signature massage with a concentrated blend of essential oils extracted from plants, which release their soothing properties into the skin. Our technique, which combines Thai and European styles, eases muscle tension and energises the body with acupressure movements and stretching. The experience ends with a localized shoulder and spinal homemade compress containing fresh Thai herbs like lemongrass, turmeric and plai. This treatment is 1 hour and 30 minutes and is priced at $255.

Traditional Thai - This is a dry massage that has a firm base in traditional Thai holistic philosophy with roots in ancient teachings. The entire body benefits from pressure point massage and stretching. Tension disappears, replaced by a feeling of increased energy and peace. This treatment is 1 hour and 20 minutes and is priced at $235.

Balinese - An ancient deep tissue massage from the Asian healing tradition using a combination of thumb pressure, deep muscle manipulation and warm sweeping strokes that help you to relax and rejuvenate. This treatment is 1 hour and 20 minutes and is priced at $235.
