A 25-year-old man appeared in court today charged with possession of a firearm.
Shauntonnai Talbot was charged in Magistrates’ Court with being in possession if a .3 calibre pistol between a date unknown and March 28 in Bermuda.
Mr Talbot was not required to enter a plea as the matter is indictable and must be heard in the Supreme Court.
Crown counsel Takiyah Burgess asked the matter to be adjourned until tomorrow to be joined with another defendant who had already been charged.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner adjourned the matter to tomorrow morning and gave Mr Talbot $20,000 bail with one surety.
He was also ordered to surrender his travel documents and report to the Hamilton Police Station daily.Â
