Bluebirds in top form
Both teams got off to a slow start but that wouldn’t last as the Bluebirds soon got into gear.
Tejour Riley with nine points led the way in the first half with Mike Smith and Dion Easton scoring six points a piece.
The Warriors had Kellen Beckham’s eight points and Nate Holland’s seven keeping their team within six at the break.
The second period saw Smith and Easton handle the scoring load for the champs with 11 and 10 points as they recorded a 53 -46 win.
In the night’s other match-up, the Fort Knox Panthers hammered the Storm 82-54 to register successive wins.
With the game tied at 39, the second half saw the Storm cool off as Panthers got red hot scoring 43 points.
Ronnie Bushner scored 12 second half points making him the game’s high scorer with 28.
Steven Simons bagged six in the half to give him a team-high 23 points for the Storm.
