It is just a week now until the Norwegian Breakaway steams into Dockyard on her inaugural voyage.

The mega-ship is due to come alongside at the newly repaired Heritage Wharf just before 8am with more than 4,000 passengers spilling out of the vessel into Dockyard.

She arrived in New York yesterday having completed her maiden trans-Atlantic trip from Rotterdam in Holland.

The ship will be officially christened today before she starts her journey to Bermuda on Friday.

Meanwhile there are some more familiar cruise faces heading towards the island.

Summit arrives in Dockyard this morning for a two-day stop, before heading back to Cape Liberty on Friday.

While the Norwegian Dawn is back in Bermuda for her second trip of the year on Sunday.

This time she will have a full day alongside at King’s Wharf before she has to move out to anchor and Grassy Bay for the rest of her stay.

The training vessel T/S Gunilla arrived in Penno’s Wharf this week.

The tall ship is scheduled to be on island for a bit of ‘rest and relaxation’ until the end of the week when she departs.

While this Friday the tanker Asterion is due to come alongside at the Oil Docks in St George’s from the Bahamas to deliver fuel for Rubis.

She will then move up to Dockyard on Saturday to siphon off diesel.

Finally the Somers Isles and the Bermuda Islander are both in this week at their usual Tuesday and Thursday morning slots, and the Oleander is back again on Sunday.
