Work — did you know that your work ethic should emulate the work ethic of God?
Did you know that God was the first to work?
Did you know that God instituted the work pattern, and that deviating from the pattern of God will lead to disorder in any society?
God worked and God works!
Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
God placed work as the duty of mankind.
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Genesis 2:15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
God put the prophet Moses to work via the Ten Commandments.
Mind you, when The Ten Commandments were not able to do a complete work, God then sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to do the completed work.
Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.
Jesus worked and Jesus works!
Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
When Jesus sat down, it was a sign that His work was done.
As it were, Jesus reported to His Father and His Father acknowledged that His work was done by allowing Jesus to sit down.
After Jesus completed His work, it was clear that angels were then sent to keep charge over those that Jesus had worked for. That makes sense.
Of angels, the following has been written.
Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
There are angels whose job it is to worship Jesus 24-7.
Then there are angels who have another worksheet, a different ministry.
There are angels, who work on your behalf. They are like spirits or the winds, a flame of fire or lightning.
Have you ever had an experience where you should have crashed that vehicle, or hit that wall or person, but it was like, whoosh, something came between you and them or you and it?
That’s God’s angel ministering to you. Angels have been commissioned to watch over you at various times. Understand that while there are demonic forces or fallen angels, God also has angels of light or the angelic host who are watching over you.
Angels are the employees of Heaven, and their job is to care and watch over the ones that Jesus died for.
They cannot drop the ball. They must undergird the work of the cross.
Angels are very busy employees who will never be out of work and who do not work overtime. They work all of the time.
When you are going through pain or sorrow, good times or bad times, know that there are angels who will keep charge over you.
You are not alone, because Jesus already redeemed you and has given you a great value.
You are valuable because Jesus placed the ultimate value upon you when He gave His life blood for you! You are valuable.
The angels are at work on your behalf. Work is important.
Now you must get to work and do that which you have knowledge of.
John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
Respice finem.
