Chae Brangman has received a one-week trial with Stoke City after impressing coaches at Bermuda’s Brazilian Football School’s (BBFS) 3rd HSBC-BBFS College Festival.
Coaches and scouts from the US, Canada and England visited the island for five days to train 100 pre-selected middle and senior youth players aged 11 to 21 on skills and techniques required at college and professional levels.
Brett Mosen, HSBC BBFS College Festival International coaching director, said in a press release: “Following the Festival event in February, I spoke with my colleague Barry MacLean, who represents a number of players within the MLS and English Premier League.
“Barry was instrumental in the recent transfer of Breck Shae from FC Dallas to Stoke City, so based on this relationship, Stoke City seemed an obvious starting point where we can measure Chae’s progress.
“I think Chae has all the tools required to make it in the game, the platform is set and now it is up to Chae to prove himself at the next level.”
Dennis Brown, President of BBFS said: “BBFS wishes to congratulate Chae, his parents, CedarBridge Academy and Bermuda Football Association League Champions Devonshire Cougars, in aiding in his development as an individual and athlete.
“Having first coached Chae at the age of 14, I wish Chae much success, in achieving all of his sporting and academic ambitions.”
