Onions' hammering opens door for rivals

Premier Division relegation fight could go down to final fixtures

Flanagan's Onions suffered a 9-0 rout at the hands of PHC as the Digicel Premier Division drama shifted to the relegation scrap at the bottom of the table.

With Devonshire Cougars having already wrapped up the title, Onions— who needed just a point to ensure safety from relegation — were the main talking point.

However, thanks to wins by both the bottom two clubs, St George's and Robin Hood, Onions' fate remains uncertain

St George's pulled off a superb 2-1 win at home to Dandy Town, while Hood recorded a dramatic 4-3 win over Wolves on Friday to keep themselves in the hunt for survival.

Both teams need to win their two remaining matches — they play each other in a critical match at BAA on Thursday night — and hope Onions falter in their final game against at Somerset Trojans on Sunday.
