Onions' hammering opens door for rivals
With Devonshire Cougars having already wrapped up the title, Onions— who needed just a point to ensure safety from relegation — were the main talking point.
However, thanks to wins by both the bottom two clubs, St George's and Robin Hood, Onions' fate remains uncertain
St George's pulled off a superb 2-1 win at home to Dandy Town, while Hood recorded a dramatic 4-3 win over Wolves on Friday to keep themselves in the hunt for survival.
Both teams need to win their two remaining matches — they play each other in a critical match at BAA on Thursday night — and hope Onions falter in their final game against at Somerset Trojans on Sunday.
