Curlene Lightbourne was the winner of a raffle gift donated by Carole Holding Studio held during the National Concierge Day Trade show at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess earlier this month.
Ms Lightbourne is a concierge at The Fairmont Southampton Princess, where she has worked the past seven years.
Ms Lightbourne is proud to wear her Golden keys “Les Clef d’or” which she received in 2011. This recognition proves her ability to advise guests about many aspects of Bermuda and Curlene says she loves being an ambassador for the Island. The accolade also means she has the capability to work anywhere in the World as a Concierge.
She said in a press release: “This must have been my lucky day since it was also my birthday, I feel blessed to have won this gorgeous prize since I love tea.”
The prize, a gift set of Carole Holdings Island flower chintz pattern bone china comprised a tea pot set for one with large cup and saucer, tea mug, tea tidy, sugar dish and creamer together with two large matching placemats and tea of course.
The first annual “National Concierge Day” was organized by the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce with the idea to continue as an annual event and to recognize Concierges throughout the island so they may be proficient in informing new business ideas as well as all the attractions of Bermuda to visiting tourists.
The group started at Dockyard and did a tour of the various island attractions so they could have a better understanding of what Bermuda has to offer when dealing with tourists’ requests.
