Inspiring moments: Stay Connected
Meditation
John 15:5: “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
I’m trying to do this task. I’m attempting to complete the next assignment, but with frustration building up each time I think of what I need to do.
Thoughts of “this is it, I can’t take it anymore” fill my mind.
I know there are times when life’s challenges may seem so overwhelming. Our days are filled with so much clutter and it seems so hard to think.
It may seem that our energy is drained leaving us feeling empty.
Like a lightbulb that has to stay connected to the source to give the light it’s purposed to give, we must stay connected to our source to live God’s purpose for our lives.
Like the branches are connected to the vine bearing fruit, we can bear much fruit in our lives when we allow the Vine to do the work that only He can do.
Jesus the Vine! Jesus says in John 15: 5: “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
What are we bringing forth? Are we bringing forth fruit or fear?
Sometimes it’s tempting to try and do it in our own strength. After all we know just what to do and how to make it right.
Disconnecting from the source in that moment, we are not walking in the purpose and potential that we have in the inside of us.
John 15: 6: “If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.”
It’s when the clutter is surrounding us we have to choose whether we will connect, stay connected or disconnect.
The source is the only one that can truly unclutter us from all the clutter we are drained with daily.
Staying connected is not any greatness of our own, but the greatness God brings when we are willing to obey and follow His lead.
When we are connected to Him, His guidance will show us the what, how, when and where.
Who is your source? Are you connecting to your source?
Remember you need your source to make it through for that is where all that you need lies.
Prayer:
Lord you are my source. When the clutter and frustration surrounds me, help me to stay connected to you for everything that I need is in you.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
