‘We’re not a big team, but we’re a strong team’
The economy may have been challenging the past few years but Container Ship Management has used it to help improve its staff.
Investors in People have given accreditation to Container Ship Management Ltd.
Tjerk Neijmeijer, vice-president of administration and equipment control led the implementation of the Investors in People Framework within CSM. “The past few years have been intense for CSM, as it has for many organisations in Bermuda,” he commented. “We were determined to use this time to increase organisational effectiveness and to identify and implement processes that would enable more efficient operations, but not at the expense of our team.
“We are not a big team, but we are a strong team,” he continued. “Undertaking the Investors in People Journey provided a framework for strengthening the development of our entire team and ultimately the overall operational performance of our organisation. Its focus on continuous improvement further assists us in creating the opportunity for ongoing growth and development as we move forward.”
“I am extremely proud of every member of the CSM Team and would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank them for their dedication and hard work. We are committed to continuing this journey as we move from strength to strength in offering the highest level of value and service to our clients.”
Don Mackenzie, partner of Management Solutions, which holds the licence for Investors in People for Bermuda, said: “We are so pleased to be welcoming Container Ship Management to the Investors in People family. n
