Today’s Queen’s Birthday Parade has been cancelled because of the weather. However, the Second Annual Highland Games scheduled for Saltus Field will go on as planned.
The Art Walk in St George's is still on today. That event runs from 4pm to 10pm.
The Bermuda National Track and Field Championships scheduled for the National Sports Centre is still scheduled. Bermuda National Athletics Association president Donna Watson told the Bermuda Sun "We're not scheduled until the afternoon so we're still on." She added the BNAA will assess the situation later today and evaluate it then.
The Capital G Ironkids Triathlon scheduled for Clearwater has been postponed until June 22.
Participants unable to attend the event on that date may request a full refund in person at the Capital G Hamilton branch Welcome Desk, Tuesday, June 18 through Friday, June 21, from 9am to 4pm.
Also postponed until next week is the Around the Island Seagull Race which was due to start at the Spanish Point Boat Club. That will now be held on June 22.
A spokesperson for the Bermuda Golf Association said "Despite heavy rain earlier this morning the tournament will still be held today. Please check our Facebook page for updates and regular updates will be sent out by e-mail."
The Bermuda Weather Service said: "An approaching front will be preceded by rain, with stronger winds and heavier showers at times into this afternoon, with possible gale force wind gusts and continued thunderstorm risk. The front will clear to our east by this evening, with Rapid improvement as winds shift northwesterly. Fair weather will ensue through Sunday and the holiday."
