An event focused on how essential oils can help you to be healthier will be held this weekend.
A free presentation will be held in Hanson Hall at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean with guest speaker Bryant Hess.
He will talk about bringing doTERRA essential oils to Bermuda.
Heidi Smith is one of the organisers and said the idea came from a colleague of hers who uses essential oils and wanted to bring them into Bermuda.
“We will be doing presentations on the uses, benefits, and versatility of essential oils,” she said.
“We will also present how attendees can use doTERRA to create a business and supplement their income.
“The target audience is anyone interested in finding out about how essential oils can be used to replace many toxic chemicals and medications.
“doTERRA's CPTG certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils are 100 percent pure, natural, aromatic compounds carefully extracted from plants.
“They do not contain fillers or artificial ingredients that would dilute their active qualities and are free of contaminants such as pesticides or other chemical residues.”
Ms Smith explained the three ways the oils can be used.
“Aromatic-Diffuse in a room to impact mood, open airways and cleanse the environment.
“Topically- apply directly to skin for systemic or localized effects.
“Internal – in an empty capsule, under your tongue, in a glass of water or juice and in a teaspoon with honey.”
Asked why the community should attend the event, Ms Smith said: “I would encourage people to come out and learn more about doTERRA for the health benefits.
“I mean mood management, skin care, spring cleaning with oils, how to use oils on your pets, etc, these oils can help.
“As a mom I am constantly looking for healthy and natural ways to prevent my daughter and step-son from getting sick and I have found that with doTERRA.”
The presentation will be held on Sunday from 6pm to 8:30pm.
There will be demonstrations and samples for attendees.
