A 2,000lb great white shark looks set to skirt this island again for the second time in a matter of weeks.
Lydia passed 100 miles off the East End in mid-April before heading north and then further east.
But at the end of last month she veered back sharply towards Bermuda and as of yesterday afternoon was around 200 miles due north of the island.
Lydia, a 14ft female that was caught off Jacksonville in March, is the second shark to be tagged by scientists from Ocearch to come within close proximity of the island in 2013.
Just earlier this year, a second tagged shark called Mary Lee, cruised in to within 21 miles of our shores attracting media attention from around the world.
