After claiming his first international title in Paris, Tyrone Smith had a disappointing day in Prague on Monday, fouling four times on his way to a fourth place finish.
On a cold, rainy day at the World Athletic Championships in Prague, Smith was unable to find his mark and finished with four fouls.
The Bermuda athlete’s best jump on the day was 7.76m.
Smith was disappointed with the result but remained positive as he took to Twitter to talk about his performance, saying: “Every now and then you take a L and it just refocuses you and forces you to be better. Today is that day for me.”
He added: “Four fouls... I need to learn to trust my mark! I never foul that much!”
