A 29-year-old man was fined $1,500 today after he admitted to hurling obscenities at police officers.
Police officers were called to Cedar Hill on June 8 at 2:55am to reports of men fighting.
When they arrived, no one was fighting but they saw Coolridge Hayward shouting very loudly.
He appeared to be agitated.
Crown counsel Susan Mulligan told the court Hayward was shouting towards a house and then tried to run away.
Hayward was arrested and taken away from the scene to the police car.
Once inside the car, officers attempted to get information from Hayward.
He repeatedly swore at them and insulted the officers.
Hayward apologised to the court for his actions.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner gave him a fine of $1,500.
