England C keen to return for 'Bermuda Cup'

Tentative talks have taken place over England C returning next year to compete in an inaugural Bermuda Cup tournament.

The Bermuda Sun understands the England camp are keen to return but feel the travel time required warrants more than just one game.

Therefore, initial discussions have focused on the prospect of establishing a three-team tournament between England C, Bermuda and a national team from the Caribbean. Early suggestions are that Bermuda would be allowed to select the third team.

England C were due to fly on to Cayman Islands after their 6-1 win over Bermuda at the National Sports Centre on Tuesday night for another friendly but flight scheduling problems mean that leg of their tour has now been cancelled.
