A senior warrant officer and bandsman in the Bermuda Regiment was on Friday recognised for his forty years of service.

W02 Bernard Pitman has worked under five bandmasters and five directors of music as part of the Regiment band.

He has represented the island as part of the band around the globe, including Hong Kong, Hawaii, France, Germany, Switzerland and  and Singapore.

National Security Minister Michael Dunkley said WO2 Pitman had been “a stellar ambassador” for the Regiment and the island as a whole.
