An easy way to count up Facebook fans

French Start-up company Smiiirl has evented a real-time counter to feed those who might be a bit insecure or those businesses who want to display how popular they are on Facebook. 

The Fliike connects through WiFi and every time your company gets a new Facebook fan it clicks over to the higher number in real time. 

You can almost picture people in the store or office huddled around the Fliike as it sits at 999, waiting for that magical one person to tick the counter over to an even 1,000. 

It could even spur a bit of fun. Picture a restaurant or bar having it and offering a free shot or 5% off the bill for everyone who is in the building when it reaches a significant milestone like 1,000 or 5,000 or 10,000? 

It could work to get people into the store and help promote people using the Facebook page of the company.  The cost is $390 and will be available in November.
