Bermudian Joshua Greenslade was selected as part of an US All-star Team to compete in British-American Sailing Tour this July.
Greenslade, St. Mary’s College of Maryland senior, will be joining some of America’s best and brightest sailors as the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association sends a team of seven to the UK to compete against the British University Sailing Association team later this month. Sailors will compete in the course of five official matches over a three-week-long sailing tour.
This will be the 28th BUSA/ICSA British-American Tour since the challenge started 54 years ago. The tour, running from July 10 through July 24, will be held at venues across the UK in a variety of classes.
Greenslade, who will finish his last semester at St. Mary’s College next spring, recently skippered for the St Mary’s College sailing team that took second place at the ICSA/ APS Team Race National Championship this past May.
Greenslade said in a press release: “It’s going to be a great experience sailing against some of the world’s best sailors.
“I hope to learn a lot and use that for the rest of my sailing career.”
