Bermuda’s swimmers continued their preparations for the Island Games at the Central American and Caribbean Amateur Swimming Confederation in Costa Rica.
On the meet’s first day, Lisa Blackburn was back to her winning ways in the breaststroke events as she pulled away from the field in the 100m and cruised home to claim Bermuda’s first gold. Blackburn also won silver in the 200mIM.
Shannon Hassell claimed silver in the 100m back, while Stephanie Myles won bronze in the 800m free.
Jesse Washington finished an agonising fourth in the 50m freestyle.
