Women's Team raises $500 to fight breast cancer

The national women's cricket team have raised an additional $500 during training to donate to the Bermuda Cancer & Health Association for Breast Cancer Awareness.

BF&M offered to donate $25 for every wicket taken in the run up to the World Cup Qualifiers.

The team took 31 wickets raising $775.

They also took part in the breast cancer walk. Linda Mienzer, Captain, explained, "The women squad chose to donate the money raised to the Bermuda Cancer and Health Association because, being a female team, it seemed especially fitting to make a commitment to this worthy cause. Breast cancer affects the lives of many and it is an issue that is very close to our hearts."[[In-content Ad]]
