The TBI Women's Basketball League is set to tip off this Sunday at 5pm at the MSA gym.

Bermuda Basketball Association president Allen Walker Jr. is 'ecstatic 'to have Telebermuda as the title sponsor of this new league.

Walker said: "The BBA has not had a women's league for over ten years and feels that it is imperative to reconnect with its female players.

"We believe this league will not only provide opportunities for female players to further develop their skills but also provide us with the tools to develop our national programme. Our goal was to put together a programme methat fostered growth and continued development.

The TBI League will comprise of four (4) teams:

Hamilton Parish Hurricanes

Wenda Godfrey - 1st pick in draft; Tashae Gibbons, Carol Anne, Rachael Gibbons, Dominique Richardson, Tiara Simmons, Ashley Pacheco, Jasmine Patterson, Candace DeSilva, Tinee Tucker, Chelsea Smith.

Coaches: Harold Smith, Anthony Witherspoon

Warwick Suns

Erica Woods, Tashae Thompson, Janice DeBraga, Sade Fox, April Jackson, Shari Scott, Kenya Trott, Morgan Lightbourne, Vanessa Paulos, Gina Benjamin, Erica Bassett, Serita Ebbin.

Somerset Hornets
