FRIDAY, JULY 6: One of the most fun sporting events takes place this weekend with the Hiscox 11 & Under Celebrity Cricket Match takes place.

The 1pm start on the Northern Field at the National Sports Centre will see if Governor George Fergusson and Sports Minister Glenn Blakeney can lead the celebrities to a much-needed victory.

Minister Blakeney will have plenty of politico support as Michael Scott, Marc Bean, Kim Wilson, Michael Weeks and Patrice Minors will pad up.

 In rare show of bi-partisan support, Opposition Leader Craig Cannonier will also be donning the whites for the celebs.

Fresh off their Pump It Up face off, Power Girl and Nikita Robinson will also play for the celebrities which includes a slew of sportsmen like Christopher and Ashley Estwanik, Justin and Jay Donawa, Dwayne ‘Sluggo’ Leverock and Lionel Cann.

Helping round out the celebs will be Nadanja Bailey and Michael Jackman.

The mighty Under-11s promise to take the game to their older counterparts.

Qshai Darrell, Chrstion Liyange, Simeon Burrows, Elijah Lowe-Anderson, Jade-Steede-Hill, Dionne Millett, Jake Field, She-vaughn Pemberton, Jaquari painter, Jerez Eeve, Justin Moniz, Blaiz Hall, Mikal Dill and Shaddi Somersall will be pressing for the win.

The East v West Hiscox 11 & Under All-star Game takes place at 9:30am at the same venue on Saturday.

East: Malachi Trott, Justin Dickinson, Jaire Lawrence, Jaden Talbot, Kevin Sunga, Angus Betts, T’ahje Smith, Jonario Johnson, Ryan Mullen, Christopher Binns, Dean Simons, Iyuan Smith, Zahn Richardson and Rohan Richards.

West: Jaheim Iris, Eusebio King-Mills, Dominic Sabir, Tego Bean, Jenico Sealy, Josi Butterfield, Jaiden Manders, Kevin Davis, Rebecca Gibbons, Charmaine Lambe, Jahquesai Smith, Yizharyah Williams, Jerziah Dill, Dalin Richardson and Najiah Raynor.

Carlton Smith is coaching the East while Anthony Manders will be giving his wisdom to the West.
