Ever fancied a trip to Africa without the hassle of a plane ticket? Next week Scott Stallard will take you there. Mr. Stallard, known locally for his beautiful photographic books, will present a slide show on Thursday, February 23, showcasing his most recent trip to Namibia in Southwest Africa.

“If you love adventure this one-hour slide show is not to be missed,” said organizer, Tony Saunders. “You will visit the Himba Tribe, the famed Skeleton Coast, the Great Sand Sea of the Namib Desert, the world's tallest sand dunes at Deadvlei and…desert elephants.”

The event will take place at 7pm at the Ebenezer Methodist Church Hall, followed by refreshments. Admission is $20, and Mr. Stallard has generously agreed to donate all proceeds to the St. George’s Historical Society. The Society, founded in 1922, operates a museum in the restored Mitchell House on Duke of Kent Street in St. George’s.
