'Urgent' union meeting cancelled
SATURDAY, JANUARY 28 (Update): Union organizers have cancelled a meeting for City of Hamilton workers scheduled to take place on Monday.
The meeting, which had been described by the union as "urgent", was to take place at the Bermuda Industrial Union’s headquarters at 8am.
A flyer said it was to be held to discuss the "displacement" of Kurt Griffith and the "termination" of Troy Joseph.
Jamal Warren, division president, requested the meeting. But today the BIU alerted the media that it was now cancelled.
Union officials did not disclose the reasons for the cancellation or comment on when it may be rescheduled.
