'Urgent' BIU meeting called
THURSDAY, MAY 31: The Bermuda Industrial Union will hold an “urgent” meeting tomorrow morning.
The meeting will be held at 8am at the BIU headquarters.
According to the flyer, the agenda is: “Employers attack on trade unions rights.
“Threat of KFC job losses tomorrow.
“Who’s next?”
The meeting is being held at the request of BIU president Chris Furbert.
As a result of the meeting, there will be disruptions to the public transportation services as well as the postal service, waste management and more.
The meeting is expected to last for two hours.
