Young tennis starlet Tyler Smith is well on her way to realizing her dream of going pro after winning yet another tournament - this time in the Bahamas.

The 12-year-old who won the ITF Junior Under-14 tournament in Bermuda last month, claimed the Bahamas title last Friday.

She has also won tournaments in Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico and Antigua on her way to becoming number one in the Carribean for her age-group.

Smith, who attends Bill Adams' tennis academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, will play in the local women's tournament at the Argus Open next week.

"I'm a little bit nervous playing adults," she admitted. "But I hope I can beat them." She said she was enjoying travelling and playing tennis.

"It's fun. I'm getting a lot of experience and meeting new people. Hopefully I can play professionally but if not then just go to college and play."[[In-content Ad]]
