Tsunamis upset Bearcats

St. George's Int'l 76,

Somerset Flyers 66

Johnny Lugo's 34 points were enough to ground the Flyers as St. george's won by 10

Team-mate Dean Jones grabbed 13. St. George's won in spite of a league leading 24 turnovers.

Kevin Stevens put a Kobe Bryant-like effort as he poured in 43 points and Terrance Christopher had 10 boards in the losing cause for Somerset.

Pembroke Cane Toads 63,

Southampton Titans 58

Corey Vance was a one-man wrecking crew for the Cane Toads as he led the team with 35 points and six rebounds.

The Can Toads handled the ball well as they only turned it over eight times.

Johnny Minors was high point man for the Titans with 18 and he completed his double-double with 14 boards. 

Hamilton Parish Chargers 74 ,

Devonshire Dragons 65

Calvert Lee had 20 points and Shawn Brown had an outstanding night claiming 12 offensive rebounds - 16 in total - as the Charges slayed the Dragons.

John Lee's 24 points and 14 rebounds led Devonshire.

Hamilton Tsunamis 62,

Paget Bearcats 59

The upset of the week saw the Tsunamis edge past previously unbeaten Paget by three points. Dale Jackson staked himself to 10 boards while Jamie Cedenio had 18 points for the Tsunamis.

Chris Crumpler and Richard Warner had 22 points each for the Bearcats. Crumpler completed his double-double with 11 rebounds. 

Smith's Wildcats 47,

Warwick Rim Rockers 44

Steven Simons pumped in 16 points while brother Jason grabbed 14 rebounds as the Wildcats edged the Rim Rockers by three. Team-mate Ryan Rabain also had 14 boards in the victory.

Ronald Busller had 14 points in the losing cause for the Warwick and Derick Hendrickson collected six rebounds.

All-star game

The East versus West All-star game will take place on Saturday at 7:30pm at MSA. Admission is free and a snack bar will be open.[[In-content Ad]]
