Trio get off to unbeaten start

Mackerel, Porgies and Barracuda had a perfect start to the Fishbowl League as all three teams picked up maximum points last Friday at Warwick Lanes.

Stephen Paul put his name atop the leader board with a 256 scratch game. Lucky Pitcher (247) and Richard Zuill (206) also rolled 200s.

Rita Smith was the top woman with a 196 with Lelina Niere (177) and Karen Perinchief (172) rounding out the top three.

Smith also had the high handicap series with a 662. Niere was second again, this time with a 620, edging Marylou Lewis by one pin.

Paul was the only man to top 700, with a 713. Pitcher was second at 679 and Wendell White third with a 649.

Scores: Marlins 0, Mackerel 4; Goldfish 0, Porgies; Hog Fish 2, Amber Fish 2; Wahoo 3, Dolphins 1; Snappers 1, Rainbow Runners 3; Barracuda 4, Tuna 0; Cow Pollies 3, Swordfish 1.
