FRIDAY, DEC. 2: A strategic imperative report on tourism will be tabled in the house of assembly today.

It is called Establishing the Foundation for the National Tourism Plan and was prepared by the Tourism Board.

Tourism Minister Wayne Furbert said: “The report summarizes the ‘Hot Buttons’ and lists related recommendations to re-establish new products and services, identify key areas to consider and develop, create a well defined year round visitor experience, and differentiate Bermuda in the market locally and globally.

“This includes immediate, two-year, and long term implementation recommendations that will be implemented by the Department of Tourism in conjunction with our industry partners.”

The National Tourism Plan will be completed in April.
