Sun publisher upbeat in face of two redundancies
FRIDAY, SEP. 28: The Bermuda Sun will head into its new fiscal year with a more streamlined staff and the newspaper’s publisher believes the move makes the company stronger.
Two positions were made redundant yesterday to coincide with the Sun’s fiscal year end on September 30.
“This move makes us stronger from a business standpoint,” said Randy French, Bermuda Sun publisher.
“This is just one of the moves in our overall strategy and I’m optimistic about where we are going in the future.”
Bermuda Sun, founded in 1964, is approaching its fiftieth year as a newspaper known for its community-minded reporting and in-depth analysis.
