The Devonshire Cougars (Greens) captured another league title on Saturday in the Jerome Belboda Memorial seven-aside Tournament being held at St. John's Field.
The Greens scored a total of seven goals on the day with three goals coming off the boot of big striker Mark Steede.
Greens defeated the Reds 1-0 and then went on to shellshock the defending champs Browns 6 - 1, with shouts of ole ole from their vocal fans.
The score was 1 - 1 at the half. Browns other match saw them share a point with the Greys 1 all.
Other results saw Frontline get their first goal and point of the tournament drawing 1 - 1 with Whites and then losing 1 - 0 to Cartel. Greys defeated Reds 1 - 0 in their other match.
The last round of league matches are on Wednesday June 15, 6:30. The Knock Out Cup will be the following Wednesday June 22.[[In-content Ad]]
