Spare Collectors bowl over See-Breeze Strikers

Spare Collectors went to the top of the table in the East End Winter League with an 8-1 victory over See-Breeze Strikers while Strike Squad moved into second with a 9-0 whitewash over Trailblazers.

Gordon Brown used games of 236 and 211 to roll a league high 579 series. Sinclair Paynter rolled a 222 game while Ronnie Dimapolis (566) and Charles Symons (554) made the series list.

Sandra Ford had games of 187 and 182 on her way to a 526 series. Sabrina Smith bowled a 184 game.

Carolyn Welch came agonizingly close to a 500 series, missing out by one pin. Shirlene White had a 484 series.

Scores: See-Breeze Strikers 1, Spare Collectors 8; Strike Squad 9, Trailblazers 0; TLC 3, Fireballs 6; Ten Pins 4, 10th-N-Comin 5; Pin Snipers 5, Here We Come 3.5.

Barritt’s League

Pembroke Jrs sliced Haascobe’s lead to four games with a 28 to 2 bye win.

Damien Matthews rolled a 232 game on his way to a 624 series. Sheldon Thompson and LeVinc Samuels both rolled a 237 game to lead the league. Samuels used his game as part of his 604 series. Jermaine DeSilva rolled a 621 series.

F-M Continental League

Ivan Trott rolled a 237 to top all bowlers for high game, but it was Anthony Smith who had the high series when he converted his 225 game into a 603. Wayne Kelly used his 232 game as the foundation for his 596 series. Woody Jones etched his name onto the honours’ list with a 602 series.

Patrice Tucker led both women’s lists with a 212 game and 598 series. Also rolling well were Pat Price (202, 572) and Joan Thompson (192, 500).
