WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1: Islanders can save more money on dining, entertainment and shopping thanks to a new coupon-style scheme.
A new site featuring deals across Bermuda on bermuda.com has launched and the first deal is 30 per cent off an 80-minute massage with gratuities included at The Spa at Elbow Beach.
The regular price is $275, the deal is $200.
It will have a potential to stimulate Bermuda’s sagging retail and tourism sectors, said bermuda.com general manager Glenn Jones.
According to a press statement, bermuda.com Deals gives consumers the opportunity to save big on local dining, entertainment, shopping and more, while giving local businesses a chance to win new customers.
Mr Jones said The Spa at Elbow has booked five deals, Kafu Hair Salon has booked two.
“We’re teasing deals all the time on the bermuda.com events calendar to show people what else is coming down the pike. “We’ve had conversations with Cambridge Beaches, Fairmont Hamilton Princess, Riddell’s Bay Golf & Country Club, Island Restaurant Group, Gardine’s Flowers & Things, and Bermuda Restaurants who all say they want to offer deals very soon.
“This is a way for consumers to get their hands on the finer things in life without breaking the bank. Merchants want to sell their unsold inventory and consumers want to get a deal, we’re just using the Internet to bring those two desires together. It’s nearly a can’t miss proposition.
With the strength of collective buying power that only the Internet can provide, consumers receive incredible deals and, in exchange, businesses receive volume sales.
Mr Jones said: “We’re excited about bermuda.com Deals because it provides exactly what our users say they want, Bermuda at a more affordable price.
“Whether you live here or planning a visit, there’s always a deal on the horizon and to get it all you need is a computer and a credit card.”
The site will have special deals targeted to the “indulgences” on Bermuda such as spas, restaurants, hotel rooms and upscale retail.
Consumers who want the inside track on deals can subscribe for email alerts at bermuda.com/deals
Users can also receive deal notices on social media via bermuda.com on Facebook and Twitter.
