The big spinner was named by top-selling British tabloid The Sun this week as one of the top ten Unlikely Sporting Heroes of all-time.
Leverock featured alongside short-sighted ski-jumper Eddie the Eagle, Ali Dia - the prankster who managed to blag a Premier League appearance by pretending he was George Weah's cousin and Jimmy Glass - the Carlisle goalkeeper who scored the goal that saved his team from relegation.
Here's what the tabloid had to say about our own sporting hero.
"He shook the world, literally and metaphorically, with a flying one-handed catch at slip to dismiss India's Robin Uthappa in the second over of the game.
"Leverock's wild 'n wobbly jig of joy was repeated when he dispatched Indian hero Yuvraj Singh.
"That cemented his place as cricket's cult sensation.
"And, almost as importantly, it made him the Bermuda Sun Sports Personality of the Year for the second year running."
