Sharon Gibson tops all bowlers

Sharon Gibson won the top prize of $100 in last week’s American Airlines Tournament. Gibson had a 724 handicap series to edge out Miles Smith and his 721. Smith won $70 for his effort.
Charmaine Smith (711, $45), James Dowling (701, $35) and Kevin Swan (696, $32) round out the top five.
Just out of the top five prize money were Dean Lightbourn, Vernell Harvey, Anthony Zuill, Sterlin Smith and Russell Harvey.
Dowling had the high handicap game with a $76 and won an additional $25. High scratch games were bowled by Miles Smith (255), Swan (234) and Anthony Zuill (238) and they were all worth $28.
Smith also won an additional $56 for the high scratch series of 664.
Summer Fishbowl.
Lionfish remain large and in charge of the Summer Fishbowl League. The team is 12-0 and has four games in hand. The Hammerhead Sharks are 11-5.
Last week Peter Winsby had the scratch high game with a 217, and Carl Durrant managed a 201. Robyn Carroll had the men’s high handicap series with a 706. Sheila Easton rolled a 177 scratch to top all the women with Juliette Smith taking runner-up honours with a 173. Easton also had the high handicap series with a 623. Smith was second with a 611 and Joan Hollis made the honours list with a 610. n
