This column represents on air summaries for the week of June 5-9, 2006.

All My Children

Greg was unable to spirit Erica away on his private plane after Del sabotaged the aircraft. Babe later found Erica asleep on a park bench. Greg was knocked unconscious by someone and awoke to discover that he’d been buried alive, along with water, food and an air supply, as a voice demanded the location of Tad and Dixie’s daughter. Ryan and Bianca were overjoyed when Kendall finally woke up and was able to see her son for the first time. As Kendall and Zach shared a loving moment, Ryan decided not to tell Kendall that he is in love with her. JR prepared to hear his sentence. Jack was forced to accept Lily and Jonathan’s marriage … for now.

As the World Turns

Will got drunk with Jade after being told he won’t be allowed to graduate because of cheating. After Gwen went to sing at the graduation party, Will found himself alone with Jade, where kissing led to more. Paul called Emily’s bluff and told her point blank that he loves Meg, so if Emily wants to have an abortion it’s her choice. Lucy pushed Jennifer into giving Johnny his scheduled shot, but soon afterward, the child was found to be very sick. Mike acknowledged his love for Katie, but still blamed her for his cousin’s death. Damian and Holden had a punch-up.

Bold and Beautiful

Stephanie shocked Brooke and Jackie with the news that Stephen and Taylor had slept together. Recalling how Stephen wasn’t around for her childhood, an overwrought Brooke asked her father to leave her alone. Brooke decided to run her office from Marone so she won’t see the Forresters every day. Dante proposed to Felicia, and Nick did the same to Brooke, with both being accepted. Meanwhile, Bridget, who had decided to tell Dante that she wants to be with him, was stunned to learn of his engagement. Stephanie accused Nick of taking advantage of Taylor regarding her stock.

Days of our Lives

Chelsea intervened to prevent Bo and Hope from getting any closer to reconciling. With Chelsea’s hearing at hand, Kate made a deal with a dirty cop to protect her granddaughter. Although still guilt-ridden over having slept with Roman, Marlena professed her love to John. Jack’s deteriorating condition made him delirious, causing him to mistake the orderly for his brother, Steve. Sami got nervous when Lexie retook her cancer tests. Mimi fainted in a department store dressing room. When Sami tried luring EJ to work with her and Austin, Kate jumped the gun and hired him at Basic Black. Sami accidentally opened a package meant for Carrie.

General Hospital

Helena’s arrival prevented Jax from revealing the truth to Nikolas. However, Nikolas obtained a lock of John’s hair and convinced Kelly to run a DNA test. Sonny’s behaviour became increasingly erratic, as he made several mental slips in front of Emily. Sam pretended to be in danger so that Jason would have to rescue her, but she may be under a real threat with Manny watching her. Robin reached breaking point after catching Carly sneaking around the hospital. Lulu launched a plan to blackmail Luke and then help him recover his stolen money. Jason stepped in when Lucky wanted more pills.

Guiding Light

Jonathan played along with Lizzie’s phony explanation to Tammy. Beth attempted to pay off Jonathan to stay away from Lizzie, but Josh tore the check up and ordered Beth to keep clear. Coop and Ava were about to make love when Jonathan crashed the party and blasted Coop about fatherhood. A shaken Coop went to see Lizzie and proposed. After Dinah used her own history to defuse a hostage situation, Mallet asked her to marry him, she accepted, and they both panicked. Mallet began to sense that he is the target, and that Gus might be issuing the threats. After learning that her cancer is spreading, an ailing Reva fell in the path of a speeding car, driven by Gus.

One Life to Live

Knowing that Jessica must emerge to keep Brennan safe, Tess said an emotional goodbye and Jessica took over. Clint and Viki became concerned when Nash vowed that he wouldn’t walk away from his family. David threatened to tell Blair what Spencer did unless he gets the murder charge against David dropped. Later, Spencer came face to face with Margaret. Much to Cristian’s ire, Vincent bought his boxing contract and had ominous plans in store. Adriana reached out to Kevin, who had started drinking again. Anna, a hospital worker, offered help to Evangeline in coping with her blindness.

Passions

Fancy defied Luis and Theresa and offered herself as bait to trap Beth. Luis had to abandon his pursuit of Beth when she said she had poisoned Fancy’s drink. Kay got Tabitha to admit that Siren is a mermaid. Although starting to doubt the holiness of the monk, Whitney discovered the key to the pope’s chambers — and the chalice — and she and the monk entered the rooms. J.J. Cornell furiously attempted to reach Gwen and Rebecca by phone, as Ethan and Theresa chased him through Rome. A frightened Jessica watched Noah and Spike’s fight.

Young and Restless

Noting Victor’s odd behaviour, Jack learned that Victor had been injured during Nikki’s carjacking incident, and saw that as the cause of his personality change. Victor hid his hearing difficulties from Nikki. Dru was an emotional wreck, as she had to leave her family for the European business trip. Dr. Thompson told Michael and Lauren he wants to run an amniocentesis on their unborn child. JT took advantage of being left alone in Brad’s house to copy the contents of the hard drive on Brad’s computer. After finally accepting Victor’s job offer, Jack told Phyllis they would get along at work, but his anger lurked just beneath the surface.[[In-content Ad]]
