Rookie Fletcher races into second place of National Championship
Rookie rider Jordan Fletcher currently lies in second position overall in the Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club’s Scooter Classification at the half-way point of the National Championship Series.
With only 33 points separating the 19-year-old from the championship leader, he is making a name for himself in the racing community in his first campaign. Jordan has had a interest in motorcycle racing for as long as he can remember.
He became involved in the racing community in Bermuda four years ago and would work on friends and family members’ vehicles in his spare time.
Jordan’s “first love” is motorcycles but he also enjoys boat racing.
His ambition is to become a certified motorcycle mechanic but he also wants to develop his technical and riding skills and become one of Bermuda’s National Champions.
The BMRC hosts the eighth round of the Heart2Heart National Championship on Sunday at the Bermuda Motorsports Park in Southside, St. David’s. Racing begins at 1:30pm. www.bmrc.bm
