This past weekend in Barbados, Brittany Ricca of Bermuda was the overall winner of the Caribbean Equestrian Association Junior Jumping Competition, 16 and under division.

The show’s numerous eliminations made the event quite interesting, with the substitution of the reserve horse and the cancelling of the third round due to heavy rain.

Ricca ended the show with a total of 9.5 points. In second place was Christina Rossant of Trinidad with 8.5 points; third was Adrianna King of Barbados with 8 points. Marlena Tucker of Bermuda was sixth, with 4 points.

Bermuda finished third overall in the team competition.

Officials tell us that despite it being a wet show, everyone rode well and had a good time. Nicole Hassell of Bermuda tied for first place with Cashell Watsun of Trinidad in the 12 and under division.[[In-content Ad]]
