SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 13: The Pumas outplayed and outfought the Lions to win the Classic final last night.

The Argentineans were deserved champions and secured a 25-19 win at the National Stadium.

They were the surprise package of this year's Classic and the best defensive outfit.

Their victory over the Lions yesterday was a display full of pride and passion.

They clawed their way back into the game after the Lions scored the first try.

And once they had the lead their heroic tackling ensured they never surrendered it.

The Pumas topped off their performance with a try in the last minute that sent them partying into the night.

In the plate final the Australians beat the U.S Eagles 34-24 in a thrilling try-fest.
