Pins, Trouble remain on top

Both King Pins and Double Trouble suffered their first lost games this season, but they remain tied for the lead in the Commercial League. Double Trouble downed Braves 3-1 while King Pins crowned Spinners 3-1.

BTC inked a 3-1 victory over the Royal Gazette despite the RG recording the high handicap game and third high series. Unfortunately, for the Gazette, BTC registered the high series.

Other scores saw Sunset down Sweet Life 3-1 and strikers bettering Do It Best 3-1.

Maurice Lowe nipped Andrew Trott for men's high scratch game by one pin when he rolled a 224. Christopher Smith bowled a 212.

The women were on fire as Dionne Ramatar throwing down a 234 game. Kristal Davis (224) and Marie Ford (222) also topped the 200 mark.

High handicap series honours went to Michael Honoure, who had a 579. Lowe (561) and Trott (554) were second and third overall.

Davis (477) had the high handicap series with a 477. Marilyn Simmons and Earlene DeSilva tied for second with a 471.

Fishbowl League

The Piranhas continue to chew up the competition as they swallowed Goldfish 3-1 last Friday at Warwick Lanes. The win moved them past Snappers for first place in the Commercial League. Snappers drew level with Orca 2-2. Other draws saw Tuna and Barracuda as well as Hinds and Mackerel split the points. Dolphins took the sting out of Jellyfish 3-1 while Cow Pollies beat Wahoo 3-1 and Marlins reeled in Porgies 3-1. Nichole Burch rolled her first ever 200 with a 206. She ended the evening with a 623 series.
