Peppercorn Ceremony set for April 27

TUESDAY, MAR. 27: His Excellency the Governor will pay a State Visit to the Town of St. George on Wednesday 27 April 2011 where he will receive the Annual Rent for the State House from Freemasons Lodge St. George’s and hold a meeting of the Governor’s Council, attended by the Premier and Cabinet Ministers. 

The Governor will arrive at King’s Square at 10:58am.  He will be met by His Worshipful The Mayor of St. George. 

His Excellency will inspect a Bermuda Regiment Guard of Honour, then receive and reply to an address of welcome by The Mayor.

His Excellency will receive the Annual Rent of one Peppercorn for the State House from the Master of Lodge St. George.  After the Bishop has offered a prayer and blessing, His Excellency and the Officers of Lodge St. George will lead the Premier and Members of the Cabinet to the State House.
