People everywhere will take pride in Obama's victory

Senator Barack Obama is a young man with exceptional educational, political and communication skills, who happens to be black.  For the most part, his excellent performance as candidate for President of the U.S.A. has transcended artificial barriers of race and prejudice.

It is a well-known fact from the history of blacks worldwide that they are severely disadvantaged. Consequently, blacks from all walks of life everywhere, even some who do not agree with Senator Obama's political ideology, will feel a sense of pride about his election as President of the U.S., the most influential post in the world.

People around the world have watched this Presidential race more closely than any other in U.S. history.

Even prior to his electoral victory, Senator Obama had already made significant achievements.  To win the Democratic nomination against the multi-talented and well-connected Clinton Machine was a remarkable accomplishment.

He proved to be strategically superior and raised far more money (most of it from small donors) than any other candidate in the history of Presidential politics. He has also, in my view, outmanoeuvred and outspoken all of his opponents.

Positive impact

He is probably is the most inspiring, the most captivating candidate who has come along in our generation. His magnetism has been clearly demonstrated by the huge crowds that he has consistently attracted.  In fact, far bigger crowds than any other person who has run for the office of President.

I am hopeful that Senator Obama's victory will have a major positive impact on race relations around the world for the betterment of all people inhabiting this planet.

Moreover, it will instil a sense of purpose, pride, confidence and a drive for excellence in young people, especially young blacks.  Senator Obama's achievements will, hopefully, make young blacks realize by their pursuit of excellence, they will transcend artificial barriers created by man.

To achieve excellence requires preparation. This means a good education, good work ethic, discipline, a sense of goodwill wherein you embrace all people irrespective of race, creed or religious affiliation.

In addition to Senator Obama's sound intellect, he seems to be an exceptional family man with a very happy family.

The office of President of the U.S. has a very high profile that attracts the worldwide media. As a consequence, his words, his policies, his personal behaviour and his image can inspire individuals and can improve relations between individuals, groups and nations.[[In-content Ad]]
