A 12-run sixth inning helped Precision Cabling Panthers erase a four-run deficit and defeat Island Construction 19 to 13.

Construction built an early lead thanks in part to a two-run homer by McLaren Lowe (5-6), but Nyon Steede (3-5) put the hammer to them when he hit two homers in the sixth inning.

Tracey Bean (4-5), Paul DeCouto (3-3) and Dion Ball (4-6) also batted well in the victory. Steven Simons (3-5) hit a homer for Island Construction.

Café Cairo 21, Swizzle Inn 13

Lianne Liarerdi (4-4, 3 RBI), Mandy Riheaureaux (3-4, 4 RBI) and Jennifer Dziwenka (3-5) helped lead Swizzle Inn to a 9-4 advantage over four innings.

However, an 11-run last inning by Cairo pulled them to safety. Rachel O'Connor (3-3) and Diane Laird (6-6) were both perfect at the plate for Café Cairo. Tali Davis (4-5) and Joanie Harper (3-5) also contributed to the comeback.

P&M 23, EACy Grlz 5

Charlie Corday (4-4) and Carla Zuill (3-4) powered P & M Electricutes with homers to a triumph over EACy Grlz. P&M scored 18 times in the first two innings to make this a laugher. Tina Robson (3-3), Rose Sanders (3-4), Angie Bennett (3-4) and Dawna Ferguson (3-4) all had three hits in the win.

Akanke Parsons (3-3) and Donette Daniels (2-3) swung the big bats for EACy.

Tuff Dogs 14, Panthers 7

Homeruns by Jon Gazzard (3-4), John Ray (2-5) and Steve O'Flynn helped Tuff Dogs double-up Panthers. Stephanie Rego and Barry Zuerbacan were both 3-4 in the victory.

McLaren Lowe (2-4) hit a homer and Diane Laird was 3-4 in the loss for Panthers.

Marsh 16, BEST 13

Marsh pulled off a mini-upset by sweeping BEST out of the B Division playoffs. Marsh scored 13 runs in its last two at bats to come from behind to win. Catherine Vu (1-4) hit a three-run homer in the sixth while Blaine Bernard, Brice Purcell and Lou Adenic were all 3-4 in the win.

Paulo Arruda (2-4) drove in four runs for BEST and brother Nelson Arruda hit a solo shot. Blair White and Marco Almeida were 3-5.

TBI 22, Arch 21

This free-scoring affair saw Arch come up just shy against TBI. The tying run was at second base with one out but Arch couldn't get it in. Somers Carr (5-5) was a beast at the plate with two homers and driving in six runs for Arch. Team-mates Alex Styche (4-4) and Ryan Davidge (3-5, HR, 4 RBI) also had good games for Arch.

TBI got homers from Chris Pitcher (3-5), Sir Barton (3-5) and Andrew McDowell (4-5).[[In-content Ad]]
