TUESDAY, SEPT. 21: Due to erosion at Elbow Beach the steps down to the beach via the Public Access have been washed away leaving a dangerous drop.  The Public Access to Elbow Beach will therefore be closed until further notice.

Coopers Island will remain closed until the Parks Department have assessed the park and cleared debris from roadways.

Horseshoe Beach, Warwick Long Bay and John Smiths Bay are all open although there has been major erosion of the beach sand leaving exposed rock in some areas.

The cliffs at Astwood Park suffered severe erosion in places and while the park is open the public is asked to use caution around the cliffs.

The Botanical Gardens will be closed to the public as there is a large amount of debris from trees. As the Parks Department are working to clear schools and other parts of the island they will not be able to get to the Botanical Gardens until later in the week. The Gardens are still open for official business at the Department of Parks and Environmental Protection and Masterworks.
