Scott Campbell launched three homers in leading the Beach to a 10-run victory in both team’s opening 5 n 5 Co-ed games of the season.

Campbell was 5-5 with nine RBI while left fielder Gus Sanchez was 4-5 with four RBI for the Riptide. Sharon Schmidt (3-5) and Tory Richard (3-4, 2 RBI) also helped the winning cause.

B Division

Water Tours 30, Magic 9

It only took Bermuda Water Tours five innings to beat Black Magic.

Water Tours were in control from the start as Donnie Moniz (3-3, 2 HR, 8 RBI) blasted a homer in the first, but it was a 15-run third inning which killed any hope for Magic.

The first 13 batters Water Tours sent to the plate in the third all scored.

Kevin Barnes was 4-4 for the winners while Stephen Smith and Paulo Arruda were both 3-4.

Romar Douglas was hit homers in the fourth and fifth innings for Black Magic to help drive in five of the eight runs. Team-mate Richard Oliviera was 2-4.
