FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 11AM UPDATE: Hurricane Ophelia is expected to be a Category 2 storm when it brushes past Bermuda on Saturday night and forecasters have issued a Tropical Storm Watch.

Ophelia is predicted to be 123 miles east of the island at 8pm on Saturday night and packing winds of up to 105 knots.

Forecasters have warned the storm will bring high winds and seas as it approaches Bermuda.

Ophelia is at present 575 nautical miles south-southeast of the island and moving north-northwest at 8 knots.

If it follows its predicted track, the storm will pass Bermuda on Saturday night and swing in a westerly direction back out into the Atlantic.
